Menus

Do you cater to dietary requirements?

With pleasure. Note any requirements on the Cart page and we'll get back to you with options. If you need to check with other guests, you can notify us after the booking is placed. 

What if I don't like something on the menu?

That's okay. On the Cart page, there is space for you to make special requests or changes to the menu. 

Can I make a custom menu?

Of course. There is a 'Create Your Own' menu option where you can tell us what you have in mind. We'll get back to you with menu ideas, and our chef may call you to know more. 

What kitchen equipment do I need?

Our menus are designed with the regular household kitchen in mind. So if you have a stovetop oven, fridge, pots & pans, knife & board, that's perfect. If you're missing anything, don't worry. We'll check with you and bring extra equipment we may need. We've cooked for the masses in a small household kitchen, and run cooking classes at a storefront with only a sink. 

Booking

What areas do you service?

We service the Greater Sydney area. If you're a few hours drive away and would like to try our food, we can travel to you at an additional fee. Simply place your booking and we'll provide a quote, before locking anything in. 

What is included in the menu price?

Prices are per guest, and all-inclusive of the best ingredients and your private chef to cook, serve and clean. Extra cooking equipment, as needed, is also included. 

 

Additional time and resources may be required for:

- Travel in locations outside greater Sydney 

- Additional staff for larger groups

In these instances, we have to add an additional fee. Please place your order as per usual and we will provide a quote before locking it in.

 

Please note that tableware, such as plates, glasses, cutlery and décor, is not included but can be hired. 

How do I pay?

You can pay either:

- Upfront Pay for the whole of your booking in one instance

- In Instalments Payment will be split evenly in four instalments, with the payment dates being evenly spread between the booking date and the event date. This can be selected on the Cart page

 

Your payment details will be taken on Checkout but not processed until the Chef confirms your booking. Please allow up to 24 hours to receive a confirmation. 

What is your cancellation policy?

In the case of a cancellation, the amount refundable depends on the notice given ahead of the event date:

- Over 1 month Full refund

- Over 3 weeks 75% refund

- Over 2 weeks 50% refund

- Over 1 week    25% refund

 

No amount is refundable for any cancellation made less than 1 week prior the event. 

If there are any guest cancellations, the cancellation policy applies on a per head basis. 

Can I alter my order?

You can make changes to the menu with any reasonable time frame. Don't hesitate to contact us at any time, we're available 24/7.

Event

When will the chef arrive?

Expect your private chef to arrive around one hour prior the set serving time, however, this may vary on the scale of the event. The exact time of arrival will be noted on the booking confirmation.

How will I be served?

Most dishes are plated and served to guests individually. There may be a shared course in some menus (for example, a grazing table as a starter), which will be noted in the description.

What will having a private chef be like?

We work according to you, whether you feel like an intimate evening or a more interactive encounter. We aim to be a chef-in-the-family - making it a comforting, yet special experience.
